Born and raised in Punjab, India, Dr. Bedi received his bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from Punjab Veterinary College in 1977. Following his graduate studies he pursued his master’s degree in veterinary obstetrics and surgery and received national honors for his postgraduate research. After his post graduation Dr. Bedi joined the College of Veterinary Medicine as an assistant professor and taught the veterinary students in veterinary clinics.
After migrating to the U.S.A. Dr. Bedi passed his board exams with high distinctions, got his D.V.M. and practiced in Florida for a few years. Dr. Bedi migrated to Cleveland and established his dream hospital, LoveNCare Animal Hospital, on East 185th St. in the mid 1980’s. A general veterinary practitioner, Dr. Bedi enjoys all facets of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in skin and ear problems. Dr. Bedi is a longtime member of the A.V.M.A., O.V.M.A. and the C.A.V.M. and attends all the major conferences to keep his knowledge up to date. Over the years Dr. Bedi has volunteered his professional services to hundreds of homeless animals by fostering and finding homes for dogs feral cats and kittens.
Dr. Bedi is happily married to his wife Satinder, the hospital administrator, and he also has a daughter and two sons who are all in medicine. The family enjoys the companionship of their dog Mikey, a Yorkshire terrier. During his free time Dr. Bedi roots for all of the Cleveland professional teams: The Cavaliers, The Cleveland Indians, The Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Monsters. He reads about different religious beliefs, meditates, volunteers at his temple, plays badminton and basketball, biking, hiking and walking.
